Plastics, rubber and composite parts
Moulded part quality depends on tool design, material handling and a stable process window. We audit and inspect all three.
01Tool, material and process
Injection moulding, extrusion and rubber moulding suppliers serve automotive, appliances, electrical, medical and packaging markets. Typical problems are short shots, sink marks, flash, warpage, weld lines, dimensional variation between cavities and material mix-ups.
QUALITAS TR audits moulding suppliers, verifies tool and cavity approval, checks material drying and regrind control, and inspects parts dimensionally and visually.
02Typical quality risks we see
- Cavity to cavity dimensional variation
- Warpage and sink marks
- Material moisture and regrind ratio
- Colour and appearance variation
- Process parameters outside validated window
- Tool wear and maintenance gaps
03How QUALITAS TR supports plastics, rubber and composites buyers
| Service | What we do in this sector |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing and Special Process Audits | Injection moulding process audits. |
| First Article Inspection | Cavity by cavity first article inspection. |
| Independent Quality Control | In-process and final control. |
| Supplier Development | Process window and capability improvement. |
04Key inspection points
- Material certificate and lot
- Drying and regrind records
- Process parameter sheet
- Cavity identification
- Dimensions per cavity
- Visual defects against limit samples
- Functional fit checks
- Packaging protection
05Standards and requirements
Tolerances for moulded parts are often specified with ISO 20457 or company standards. Material properties follow the resin supplier's data sheet and the drawing.
06The sector in Turkey
Plastic processors are concentrated in İstanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Gaziantep and Manisa, many serving automotive and appliance manufacturers.
